10 Year Anniversary Poem

The prince stands vigilantly awaiting his princess by their carriage. His heart beating rapidly in anticipation of her arrival. She descends the tower into his arms, her knight in shining amour. They have been married 10 years today. The love between them is visible to all around them. He kisses her and guides her into the carriage, whisking her away to Jenkins Estate, where they began their journey together as husband and wife. The sun is blessing the grounds and the birds are singing their tune. As they arrive a picnic awaits promising a romantic evening. The harpist plays her heavenly tune accompanying the two in dance and meal. Salmon, shrimp and chocolate fondue a blissful spread of food. They dance and spin the time away until the music is long faded. As the night winds down her eyes he closes, kissing down each lid.  Presenting a box, with in lay his heart for her to wear from him. Her tear express what words cannot convey. They finish the night dancing to the music in their heart.
