Mixed Media Journaling or Altered art

I know it had been ages since I have posted but life has taken a new turn and adventure are awaiting me.  That being said I have started new art projects and I wanted to share the first two pages of my visual journal.
Page one:

 

Abstract Flag

I created this page using alcohol ink and acrylic paint. I really like how it turned out and have turned it into stationary for writing to my husband in basic.

Page two:

Star Spangled Angel

I created this page with gesso, Faber Castel markers, oil pastels and watercolor. The angel is from an old image book I picked up at a used book store. These are my first attempts at mixed media like this and I will post more as I go. Please let me know what you think.
